Absolutely! Oat milk, soy milk, coconut milk, or cashew milk all work beautifully.
What if I don’t like raisins?
Try chopped dried figs, cranberries, or leave them out entirely. The pudding will still be delicious thanks to the naturally sweet dates.
How do I make it extra creamy?
Blend the almond milk, dates, and cinnamon before adding the chia seeds for a smoother texture and even distribution of sweetness.

Adding cinnamon sounds brilliant. I’ll give it a try tomorrow morning. Or this night, because I cannot wait.
Dog bites are the worst! My dog is the sweetest, but she has bitten me unintentionally before too, mainly when I’m playing tug with her and she repositions her mouth to get a better grip. I still have a scar on my thumb from months ago! Hope yours is healing and I’m sure this pudding will make it feel a lot better! Love the cinnamon in here! Looks like the perfect Friday breakfast!
Thanks for the love Gayle – it’s definitely on it’s way to recovery!
Oh no! Poor Rachel. I’m glad your hand is starting to feel better. Isn’t it crazy how one little thing can throw us off? (insert long personal story here) I’ve definitely been there. I’m sure Bear felt awful about hurting his mama.
These jars of pud look so cozy and comforting. I’m glad you had them around to help with your recovery.
Haha I was finally able to take the band-aid off yesterday, thank goodness! Thanks so much for the love, Annie.
Oh no…I know if he could, Bear would apologize. I remember once being bitten by my inlaws sweet, big dog, my hand got in the way of a piece of cheese, so I guess it was understandable. ;)
I love the combo of cinnamon and raisins so this breakfast pudding is right up my alley!
Thanks so much for the love, Marissa!
Oh, those dog bites hurt like the devil!! I have a few scars on my right hand, due to playing too hard with my friend’s little dogs. I hope your finger heals without any problems. I love this pudding, and your chocolate peanut butter version is really good!
oh my, your poor finger! I hope it’s healing well. I’m new to your blog and just starting a paleo diet, but I’m a baker so I’m so glad I found you. I’ll be stalking/following your faithfully from now on. I love this recipe as I was looking for something with dates in for breakfast. Healing thoughts x
Thank you so much for the love Annie! I hope you find lots of recipes to love on my site – so glad to have you as a new part of the community :) xox

So thrilled to hear you found a new favorite! Thanks for your feedback Kat :)
Hi! This sounds great, however, I’m allergic to almonds. Can I make it with coconut milk? Or does that interfere with texture? Thanks!
Hi Gina, nope, any dairy-free milk will do the trick! Enjoy :)
