These Pretzel Rolo Turtles are a delicious, easy snack that’s perfect year round, but especially good on your holiday gift platters!
It’s finally here. Senior year of high school. Just 1 more year, two more semesters, six more classes, and 14 college applications to go and I’ll be heading off to college. So weird to finally be doing all of this. It seems like your whole schooling career is just preparing for this: college applications. Ah, the stress. I’ve already started quite a few of them and gotten a good way through them but the essay’s are just killing me! What do I write about?!! So tough. How do I want the admissions officers to see me? It’s such a tough decision. Do I want to just be totally me, or do I want to be the student that they want to see? AAHHHHH. I’m going to go crazy with this.
So as I ponder my college essays and applications and get ready for my classes and mentally prepare myself for the SAT and ACT, I bake. Or in this case, I make myself some easy, delicious, fattening snacks that I can eat as I stress about my life.
These treats are everything you want in a treat. Sweet. Salty. Crunchy. Chewy. Nutty. Ab. So. Lute. Ly. Per. Fect. These things are
so good they make me separate words by syllables. They require three, count it, THREE ingredients.
Pretzels + Rolos + toasted pecans can’t be bad. You’ll have to try it out for yourself. They are heaven in your mouth.
Seriously, just give ’em a shot. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Please, do yourself a favor, go make them. Or…you can write my college essay for me? Only if you want. HAA. Just kidddddinggg. But really guys – go make these.
Pretzel Rolo Turtles

- 1 10 oz. bag of prezels
- About 50 pecan halves toasted (or any other topping of your choice...the options are endless!)
Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with foil.
Line about 50 pretzels on the cookie sheet and place a single, unwrapped Rolo on the top of each pretzel. Bake for three minutes and immediately press pecan or other topping on top of the Rolo. Allow to chill until set.
To toast pecans, spread them out on a plate and microwave for 30 seconds at a time. Stir the pecans around in between cooking times until toasted.
