Dorm Life Eats: No-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Treats
These No-Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Treats are like giant, marshmallow-y chocolate chip cookies! These unique treats only have 3 ingredients.
I’ve seen these marshmallow-cookie things on many-a sites. Oreos, Nutter-Butters, so many different kinds! I knew, right when I saw the concept, I wanted to try it with chocolate chip cookies. I cut the butter a bit (for no particular reason) and used giant marshmallows, and they turned out heavenly. I definitely have a list of cookies I want to try using this method. It’s so easy, and the results are heavenly. AND! They are no-bake, using only a microwave. Perfect, huh?
Give ’em a try, they won’t disappoint.
Here’s your lineup. 3 tablespoons of butter, a package of crunchy chocolate chip cookies, and a bag of marshmallows. I had some extra giant marshmallows that I used, but one bag of big marshmallows is the perfect amount.
Take out all those lovely cookies, and place them in a plastic bag (or if you’re fancy, in a food processor).
Now, mush them up until they look like this. Make sure not to completely grind them into oblivion, the little cookie chunks are the best part.
Once your cookies are all ready, put your marshmallows and butter into a greased microwavable bowl (the greasing will make your life easier in the end, promise). I ripped my marshmallows into smaller pieces because they were huge, but if you have regular sized marshmallows, leave ’em as is.
Stick it all in the microwave for 1 1/2 to 3 minutes (or 4 minutes if you have a microwave with horribly low wattage). Moral of the story: heat them until their puffy and it seems melted, AKA no chunks of solid marshmallow.
Dump in those crushed cookies and stir, stir, stir until the cookies, butter, and marshmallows are all incorporated.
Working quickly, dump the marshmallow mixture into a greased 8×8″ pan. If you greased your bowl like I recommended, it should come out pretty easily. Spread the mixture so it forms an even layer. Tap gently against the counter to release any bubbles. Let this set for 10-15 minutes before attempting to cut!

what toppings are good with this recipe? pls reply A.S.A.P
Hi Annie, I’m not sure what you mean by toppings. I served these bars as-is.
Hi! I’ve tried these and they taste absolutely amazing! I couldn’t stop eating them xD But in my opinion they were bit too chewy…Any ideas how to make them less chewy and easier to bite?
Hi Melanie! Glad you liked them. The bars are supposed to be chewy, but you could play around by reducing the amount of marshmallows. Since I haven’t tried, I can’t give you the exact measurement, but feel free to experiment!
Can you store in the fridge overnight??
LOOKS SOO GREATT
Yes absolutely!
You could add M&M’S too or any kind of candy you like. Christmas candy canes too chopped up. Going to try these thanks
