I think it’s safe to say cookies are ALWAYS in season. Agreed? If you know me well you know, refined sugar-free cookies are my jam. I pretty much whip up a batch weekly which means sticking to nourishing ingredients to still feel my best while enjoying the finer things in life like chocolate :)
To keep my recipes free of refined sugar, I like to use maple syrup or coconut sugar to sweeten. Some of these recipes are also completely sugar-free, either naturally without sweeteners or using a sugar replacement, so they’re perfect for those watching their sugar intake. Using these options means our blood sugar doesn’t spike as high then crash rapidly, which can typically lead to low energy. No thank you! On top of using unrefined sugar, you’ll notice these cookies are made with wholesome ingredients like rolled oats, almond flour, and coconut oil.

Tips to make fully sugar-free cookies!
- Many of the recipes below call for coconut sugar, which is a refined sugar-free sweetener. If you want to make these recipes fully sugar-free, try replacing the coconut sugar with a 1:1 granulated sugar-free sweetener, like allulose, erythritol, xylitol or a blend from a company like Purecane, Lakanto or Madhava.
- For the flavor of coconut sugar without all the calories, try a product like Miss Jones Coconut Sugar Blend, which has 50% of the sugar and carbs that coconut sugar regularly has.
- For recipes sweetened with maple syrup, try using a sugar-free maple syrup like maple syrup from Lakanto.
