Sumac Onions
Sumac onions are a delightful addition to salads, wraps, veggies, and bowls, offering a burst of tangy flavor. You only need 5 minutes and 6 ingredients!

1 medium red onion 1 lemon juiced 1 tablespoon sumac 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup fresh parsley 2 tablespoons olive oil optional, for extra richness
Slice the red onion super thin (a mandoline works great if you have one, or slice by hand).

Place in a bowl and add the lemon, sumac, salt, parsley, and olive oil, if using. Toss together to combine and coat the onions.

Let rest for 10 minutes at room temperature to soften before serving.
They can be used immediately or stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
