Dorm Life Eats: Microwave Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  •  teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons white granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons Nutella
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large coffee mug. Whisk well with a fork until smooth. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 – 3 minutes. (Time depends on microwave wattage. Check after 1 1/2 minutes, and then cook in 30 second increments from there. DO NOT OVERCOOK! Moister is better in this case. Mine took 3 minutes.)
  2. Serve in the mug, with some extra Nutella if desired. Dig in, and enjoy!

Notes

Note: Depending on the wattage of your microwave, you may have to increase cooking time.
