If you hang around here, you know I make ALLLL the nut butters these days, but this Maple Almond Butter was the FIRST flavored nut butter I ever made at home. There’s a major sense of nostalgia and pride right there, so this recipe definitely has a special place in my heart.

Remember those No-Bake Lemon Tarts I made for you a few weeks ago??? With their incredibly smooth and tart filling, they stayed on my mind a lot longer than they lasted in my kitchen. They disappeared SO quickly and to such rave reviews, I was immediately craving another batch.

Happy Hump Day!!! This week has felt extra long already, and it’s only Tuesday when I’m writing this…major brain fog. Maybe it’s the gloomy clouds that have been surrounding my apartment for the past four days – at least the rain has finally stopped, though.

I’m hoping that the San Diego sun will come back out and say hi, but as most San Diegans know…we’re entering the cloudy months of May and then we’ll be into June Gloom. The clouds are likely to stay around for a little while. [Read more…]

I’ve probably mentioned it before, but lemon desserts typically are not my favorite. They have the tendency to be way too sweet, with way too much sugar compared to the amount of tart lemon.
