I had planned on posting this recipe next week, but I just posted a teaser picture of these cookies on Instagram and you guys pretty much demanded that I share them ASAP.

I hear you, loud and clear! So, I moved the recipe on up in the docket. Chocolate chip cookies should be prioritized over pretty much all else, right? Especialllllyyy when they’re looking as good as these ones are 😍 not going to lie, when I was editing these photos I was seriously regretting having given them all away to my aunt. [Read more…]

Looking at the pictures of this no-bake layered blueberry cheesecake makes me seriously giddy inside! Isn’t she a beauty?!

I’m pretty sure no-bake, raw vegan cheesecakes are my new favorite thing. The love affair began when I realized how beautiful and photogenic they can be after photographing this raspberry one for my friend Monica over at The Movement Menu, and then this citrus-topped lemon cheesecake stunner.

2017 Update: these Paleo Chocolate Chip Cookies are the BOMB, and one of my favorite/your favorite recipes on the site. You guys seriously LOVE this one, and I don’t blame you. They’re so good. But…they also needed a photo update, so I’m republishing the post with the new photos! Unfortunately, I’m long out of college, but leaving the original post written below for nostalgia’s sake. Enjoy!!

I’m less than six weeks from graduating from college. How in the world did that happen? It feels like last year that I was writing a post about brioche and my college decision (throwback alert) and whipping up treats in my freshman year dorm room microwave for my (short) series on Dorm Life Eats.

So this past weekend, I drove up to Anaheim for the Natural Products Expo. It was my first time going, but I had heart lots about it – how it’s huge, overwhelming, and packed with every natural food, beauty, and health company.

But no description could have prepared me for it. With almost 3,000 exhibitors, there really was every single natural product you could think of. I arrived on Friday and wandered into the madness aimlessly. I was there by myself, and for the first half hour, I felt like a lost lamb, wide-eyed and wandering through the crowds. [Read more…]

Based on the number of citrus recipes I’ve posted over the many years I’ve been creating recipes, you would think I really didn’t like citrus. I really haven’t posted a recipe starring citrus in looooong time.

You’d think I wouldn’t like citrus, based on that – right? Well, nothing could be further from the truth. I buy bags of citrus during the winter, and stock up on allll the different kinds every week at the farmer’s market. I marvel in their bright flavors, and the flavor nuances between a Cara Cara orange and a Navel, a tangerine and a clementine.  [Read more…]

Since coming off of my first Whole30, I haven’t gone too crazy with eating everything I wasn’t allowed to during it. In fact, most of my meals are still compliant. I like eating that way, and even though I’m not crazy strict about it, I’m still trying to eat more cleanly and as healthily as possible, while still keeping things delicious :)

Of course, I’m tasting my baked goods, but trying not to eat too much of them, and keeping things mostly Paleo too, so I’m not throwing my body too off track. One of the only off limits foods that’s made it’s way firmly back into my diet is peanut butter. [Read more…]

Sooo, last weekend, I finished my first Whole30! And to be honest, it wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be – I learned a lot about my food habits, and also managed to change a lot of them for the better.

I feel a little bit spoiled because since I work from home, meal prepping wasn’t as necessary for me as it is for so many people. I made a whole bunch of delicious meals from some of my favorite bloggers, and actually learned how to be a much better cook using way healthier ingredients. Progress! [Read more…]
