Caramel Apple Crumble (GF)

Caramel Apple Crumble (GF) from Bakerita.com Apple crumble. Oh, man. Apple crumble is possibly my favorite dessert, and for that reason, I don’t make it too often. Most of the dessert I make, I’m able to resist for the most part. I taste, make sure it’s delicious enough to be shared, but I usually try to avoid gorging myself on baked goods because that would be way bad for my health and for my waistline.

Apple crumble, on the other hand, I’m powerless to resist. I just love it. The sweet, spiced apples topped with all that amazing, crunchy, deliciously buttery crumb topping. Everything about it reminds me of fall. Mmm, it’s just the best! [Read more...]

White Chocolate Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies

White Chocolate Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies | Bakerita.com I thought that this cookie would turn out pretty standard and simple tasting. You know, oatmeal cookie with some cinnamon and a bit of white chocolate – nothing revolutionary here. BUT. Somehow, the way the dark brown sugar caramelized, combined with a healthy dose of cinnamon and that sweet white chocolate created something AWESOME.

These cookies taste like a chewy, oatmeal-y cinnamon roll. Not exactly like a cinnamon roll (duh, cookie texture, not bread), but the taste is definitely there. [Read more...]

So, unfortunately, all your getting out of me tonight is a kick-ass recipe for paleo, refined sugar free, gluten free, delicious almond banana bread. [Read more...]

Gingersnap Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

In my last post, I discussed my two favorite fall flavors: apples and pumpkin, and shared a recipe for Caramel Apple Cinnamon Rolls, featuring apples, obviously.

So isn’t it only fair that I share a recipe featuring pumpkin next?! I think so.

This recipe I have to share with to you is a variation on the Pumpkin Cheesecake Squares from the new Baked cookbook from the wonderful Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito, Baked Elements: Our 10 Favorite Ingredients. [Read more...]

Caramel Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Apples are arguably the best fall ingredient, held in stiff competition next to pumpkin. I, personally, don’t like to pick favorites. I give an equal shot to both pumpkin and apples and let them in each shine in their way the way only the season of fall let’s them do.

Each of them benefits from a good dash of cinnamon and nutmeg, and falls perfectly into the cocoon of freshly made pie dough. Yum.

Break me off a piece of that.

Erm, a slice of that? [Read more...]
