Hey! I’m doing another recipe update of a recipe that was posted a while back, but deserves some new photos and some new love – I did keep the post written below the same though, for nostalgia’s sake 😊. These Paleo Banana Blueberry Muffins definitely fit the bill to get a makeover – they’re a favorite of a whole bunch of readers, and they’re so darn delicious.

I photographed them as mini muffins when they were originally posted in March 2015, but I made them full size this time around. More muffin to love! They freeze perfectly, and you can just heat one in the microwave for a super quick and delicious breakfast treat. Hope you love these! [Read more…]

Sooo, last weekend, I finished my first Whole30! And to be honest, it wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be – I learned a lot about my food habits, and also managed to change a lot of them for the better.

I feel a little bit spoiled because since I work from home, meal prepping wasn’t as necessary for me as it is for so many people. I made a whole bunch of delicious meals from some of my favorite bloggers, and actually learned how to be a much better cook using way healthier ingredients. Progress! [Read more…]

Okay, I know I just shared another nut butter recipe last week (this homemade cinnamon raisin almond butter) but I had to share this one too because it’s SO GOOD and I seriously can’t stop eating it.

You’re maybe side-eyeing me right now, because banana bread-flavored nut butter sounds a little bizarre, no? Bizarre but incredibly delicious, let me tell you… [Read more…]

Smoothie bowls: yay or nay? I LOVE them, which is obvious based on the number of smoothie bowl and acai bowl recipes I’ve posted on the site, as well as the frequency with which I make them for breakfast and go out to local juice bars to get them.

But, some people don’t see the point. “Why do you need to EAT your smoothie with a spoon?” they say. “Who has time to sit and eat a smoothie?” they ask. I’ve seen smoothie bowls on a whole bunch of lists of food trends that have gotta go in 2017. [Read more…]

Funnily enough, this recipe was one of my first forays into healthier recipes on the site. It’s a super easy + delicious breakfast favorite, and you can even make this baked oatmeal ahead of time. The post below has been kept the same since it was originally posted FIVE years ago, for nostalgia’s sake. Enjoy! :)

Obviously, I really like food.

To be honest, it’s a method of preparing it that I often forget about…but now that I’ve rediscovered baked oatmeal, with it’s fluffy center and crispy edges, it’s here to stay.

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to 2017 – I hope the beginning of your year is off to a wonderful start. This feels a little weird, because I’m writing this while it’s still 2016. You, however, will be reading this in 2017. And if you’re reading this right around when it’s getting posted, I’m in CUBA!!!

Until the 10th, my best friend Paige and I are going to be exploring the island and taking a break from American civilization…and also from the internet, since Cuba isn’t known for their widespread Wifi. [Read more…]

It makes the perfect yogurt or smoothie bowl topping, or just grab a handful to hold you over until your next meal.Phew, happy Monday, friends! Normally I write my posts at least a few days in advance, but with all the chaos of celebrating my birthday AND going to Kaaboo for the last four nights, I was absolutely exhausted and just didn’t get it done.

Although…I must say, Kaaboo was totally worth the exhaustion. If you were watching my constant concert Insta-stories or Snapstories, you heard me singing and dancing my heart out to the Chainsmokers, Fall Out Boy, Flo Rida, and Matoma, and I got right up front for Capital Cities, Cold War Kids, RAC and Rebelution.
